Golf Sun City & Seychelles

Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to the Sun City entertainment complex, situated a couple of hours north-west of Johannesburg and next to the Pilanesberg National Park. Your accommodation for the next four nights is the lavish and luxurious Palace of the Lost City Hotel, set at the heart of the resort.

Sun City has two superb 18-hole golf courses; each was designed by South African golfing legend Gary Player and the resort regularly hosts top golf tournaments such as the Nedbank Golf Challenge. The 18-hole Lost City Golf Course is both unique and challenging. It features Kalahari-style terrain and incorporates 28 000sqm of water features with real crocodiles at the 13th hole. The Gary Player Country Club Course – with a par of 72 and a clever design of multiple tees – is where the Nedbank Golf Challenge is played. Enjoyable for both the keen novice and the skilled professional, this famous course is a ‘must do’ for any golfer visiting Sun City.

Away from the fairways you can explore The Palace of the Lost City with its regal elephant statues and huge sun-splashed swimming pools. There are plenty of sporting activities on offer and you can also choose to take a game drive or even an early morning hot-air balloon safari in the next-door Pilanesberg National Park.

Leave the opulent Palace of the Lost City behind and transfer back to Johannesburg after breakfast where you will fly to the Seychelles. Once you have arrived on the main island of Mahe, catch a connecting flight to Praslin Island and a private road transfer to the stunning Lemuria resort.

Lemuria – surrounded by tropical vegetation and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean – is a multi-faceted resort and home to the only 18-hole golf course in the archipelago. The golf course dips down to the beaches of the Kerlan Coves and challenges all levels of player. Palm trees fringe the first 12 holes, while the rest of the course extends over the steep slopes of a thickly forested hill. When you are not golfing, head out into the water and enjoy snorkeling, wind surfing and kayaking; you can also organise a scuba diving excursion to nearby coral reefs. If you are not feeling so active, then simply relax in the plunge pool, sauna or whirlpool, enjoy a massage or spa treatment or take a leisurely stroll on one of the beaches.

Leave idyllic Lemuria after breakfast and transfer back to Praslin Airport where you will catch your connecting flight to Mahe Island. Your golf adventure ends on arrival in Mahe.
