8 Day Luxury Kruger & Mozambique

Your safari and beach vacation begins at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg where you will board a flight to Skukuza Airport, just outside the Kruger National Park. On arriving at Skukuza, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your safari destination, Lion Sands Tinga Lodge, set within the private Tinga Concession.

After gourmet refreshments and settling into your African-inspired suite, you will head out on your first game drive in search of the Big 5 and other wildlife. Built under a 200-year old jackleberry tree, Lion Sands Tinga Lodge is a classic safari lodge with views over the Sabie River. It offers an intimate and comfortable base from which to enjoy your safari experience and you can look forward to luxuries such as a private plunge pool in your suite, warm personalised service, beautiful views, dining under the stars, an inspired wine list and pampering treatments at the wellness spa. Outdoor and safari-oriented activities include game drives, guided nature walks, bird watching, star gazing and historical tours.

As a relatively small concession (only 5 000 hectares), Tinga punches well above its weight, especially when it comes to predator sightings. The Sabie River is known to support a flourishing leopard population and Tinga’s concentrations of lion, wild dog, spotted hyena and cheetah are among the densest in all of Kruger.

On the morning of your fourth day, you will depart Lion Sands Tinga Lodge and begin the scenic journey to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. The transfer is made in your own private SUV and takes approximately two or slightly more hours. At the airport, bid farewell to the Kruger and hop on a flight to Manguzi Airstrip. After collection and transfer to White Pearl Resort, your unforgettable beach experience begins. There are few other places in the world where you can be enjoying impeccable game watching and then, a few hours later, be swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

You will spend four nights in a luxurious Pool Suite, and are free to enjoy activities like horse riding, picnics, beach sports, snorkelling, kayaking and surfing at your leisure. This chic and modern resort is tucked away on a hillside of casuarina trees in an exquisite and pristine setting among lush evergreen coastal vegetation alongside a mile of footprint-free beach. Expect plenty of indulgence and pampering including private butler service, dinner at the water’s edge, opulent spa treatments, and your own private plunge pool, king-sized bed, bathtub and outdoor shower in each suite.

Your days at White Pearl can be as active or relaxed as you like: some travellers prefer to work up a sweat after a safari while others have blissful lie-ins and do nothing more strenuous than order a favourite cocktail from the bar.

After a final breakfast, you will depart the tranquil Indian Ocean and transfer to Manguzi Airstrip for a return flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, and your next set of travel arrangements.
