One of our premium tours, the Classic is another one of our Safari & Beach Safaris ~ starting with a fascinating wildlife tour of Kenya’s best parks, ending with a leisurely beach holiday along the North coast of Mombasa, well away from the city itself. One of the attractions of this trip is the sheer diversity of Kenya that the traveler will experience.
Itinerary
You will be received at the airport and transferred to your hotel for overnight stay in preparation for the start of the Safari. Evening Safari briefing. Overnight at the 4 star Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel or equivalent.
The safari starts after breakfast at 8.30am, with a scenic drive into the Great Rift Valley, where you stop briefly at the Valley viewpoint offering stunning views of the largest valley in the world. Proceed onwards to Masai Mara, the finest game reserve in the world. Arrive at the lodge for lunch. Your afternoon Safari game drive begins at 3.30pm ~ this 3 hour Safari game drive shows you the beauty and wildlife of the Mara.
Return to your lodge by 6.30pm for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a full day in Masai Mara, with early morning and midafternoon safari game drives. Your meals will be relaxed and offer you a variety of cuisine choices. Rest of the day will be at leisure – you may relax by the pool or choose to enjoy the pristine natural surroundings. Today you may also opt to enjoy the romantic adventure of a full day outing in the reserve, with a packed Picnic Lunch to be had at a scenic, designated location on the Masai Mara savannah plains. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Depart after breakfast for Lake Nakuru park, a bird and Rhino sanctuary. This scenic lake is famous for its millions of pink flamingoes, along with other wildlife. Evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Flamingo Hill Tented Camp, which offers a luxury camp experience.
After breakfast, depart for Mountain Lodge, located in the Mount Kenya National Park. Arrive at the lodge by lunchtime. This is a tree lodge in the heart of the Mount Kenya mountain forest. The salt lick here attracts animals such as elephant and buffalo among many others. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge.
The safari moves northwards, to the scenic Samburu Game Reserve, the semi-arid region of the nomadic Samburu people. Game drive after lunch allows viewing of the rare local species of Zebra and Giraffe. Return to the lodge by 6.30pm. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge.
Full day at Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Rest of day at leisure.

After an early but relaxed breakfast and a game drive enroute on exiting the reserve, you depart for Nairobi, arriving by 1pm, in time for your short, one hour, midafternoon flight to Mombasa. (You will be able to enjoy a quick pre-flight lunch meal at the airport which has an excellent cafe). Arrive in Mombasa. Welcome to the beach! You will be met at the airport by our representative for an onward transfer to the exclusive Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort on the north coast, only about 30 mins drive from the airport in moderate traffic. Beautiful white beaches and numerous activities await you, and the hotel offers a range of water-sports. Overnight at the hotel. You are booked on a Half Board meal plan (Breakfast and Dinner included).
Full day at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort. Enjoy the excellent cuisine at this club, which is designed in Swahili style.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by most of the morning at the resort. At midday or early afternoon, depending on flight availability, you will be transferred to the nearby airport for your return 1 hour flight back to Nairobi. Your flight lands at the JKIA airport, the same airport from where your return flight will depart. All you need to do is walk across to the international unit which is typically less than a 10 minute walk. End of the Safari.
